ABOUT
I’m a journalist at the Los Angeles Times, where I cover breaking entertainment news, culture, and books—reporting on the writers, obsessions, and cultural currents shaping the zeitgeist. My work sits right at the intersection of literature, pop culture, and public life.
Previously, I was the Digital Features Editor at the Southern California News Group, guiding culture and entertainment coverage across 11 publications while contributing my own reporting on books.
As a longtime freelancer, my work has appeared in The New York Times, BBC, Los Angeles Magazine, VICE, The Hollywood Reporter, InStyle, and Cosmopolitan. My reporting spans everything from viral first-person essays to cultural critiques (one of which a Backstreet Boy tweeted, thank you very much), award-winning editorials on the importance of journalism, and deep dives into the digital aftershocks of conspiracy and addiction.
Beyond the page, I contribute to audio and documentary storytelling, including the Tubi film Gone Before Her Time: Brittany Murphy. I hold an MFA in Creative Nonfiction, a BA in Journalism, and have been honored with a California Journalism Award and five LA Press Club awards.
