ABOUT
I'm the digital features editor at Southern California News Group, where I help lead entertainment, dining, and events coverage across 11 publications. In this role, I shape editorial strategy, manage contributors, and guide digital storytelling that resonates across a large, diverse audience. Before that, I was an entertainment and books reporter at The Los Angeles Times and a longtime freelance journalist focused on stories that sit at the intersection of culture, systems, and identity.
My work has appeared in The New York Times, BBC, Los Angeles Magazine, VICE, The Hollywood Reporter, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, and more. Whether writing about book bans, legal battles, city council decisions, addiction policy, or mental health, I bring emotional intelligence, sharp reporting, and narrative clarity to every story. I’ve also contributed to audio and documentary projects, including the Tubi documentary, Gone Before Her Time: Brittany Murphy.
I hold a BA in Journalism and an MFA in Creative Nonfiction, and I’ve won five LA Press Club awards and a California Journalism Award for my obituaries, news features and editorials.
